First time I think I had met Bob Fenson. What a nice guy. He was a bit overwhelmed with the whole NY experience including the subway and the cab ride from the airport. Guess they drive a little different here then in Bemidji. They had a great time at the game. Unfortunately we didn't get any foul balls our way.
The main reason they were in town was for Bobs' birthday. So Mrs. JHcurl got his name up in lights on the main scoreboard in Yankee stadium. Got a picture of it and will be sending it to them.
Of course the best part about that is Mrs. also ended up getting her picture on the scoreboard. If you have been to a game you know that in between innings a lot of time the cameras will focus in on people and they show up on the scoreboard. Well that is when they also do the birthday announcements on the board. So there is Mrs. standing there with the camera and focused on the scoreboard. We are all watching the board as well. All of a sudden there she is, bigger then life, on the scoreboard with a camera in her hand. She was so shocked that she didn't even get a picture of it. I fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard. At least she recovered in time to get a picture of Bob's name.

Baseball, curling and pizza
The title represents what I am sure will be the topics of conversation tonight at the Yankees game. Pete Fenson is in town with his dad, Bob. For not so loyal readers of this blog, Pete is a curler who just happened to win the bronze medal at the last Olympics. He is also someone who really is into pizza. He was in New York last fall for the Korbel challenge and said he had pizza about 15 of the days in Italy.
So, will meet him at his hotel in a little while and then take the subway to the game. I think that will be a new experience for them.

Yankees time
As loyal readers will know, Mrs. JHcurl entertains clients at Yankee games in a suite as part of her job. We start with a couple of games next Sunday and the following Wednesday. Along with this there is usually a couple of curlers that show up to these games. So, on May 7th the skip of the Olympic bronze medal team will be in town and will be attending the game. Guess I need to start paying attention to the Yankees and if they are playing well. I don't think they are right now.
Yep, Pete and his dad are coming to NY. Don't think either has been to a game so should be a lot of fun. Of course, all the games are crazy this year since it is the last year of the stadium. The atmosphere should be rocking (hee).
