Same old story

Off to Philly CC for the weekend tomorrow. You have heard the story about the meeting and the kissing and the marriage. But this is the ten year anniversary and Thursday is the exact date of the meeting, Nov. 20. Which is also my Dad's birthday.

He would have been 82 this year. Would have been nice to talk to him tomorrow. Maybe he can help out this weekend with some lucky breaks.

Plovers will also be in attendence. The Pres. is already scoping out places to eat, drink and be merry. Our usual place for lunch and adult beverages is called MacKenzie's. Pretty funny for those in the know.

Now about those costumes. Everything is getting effected by the economy. I was at the Party Store today looking for wigs. $25 a pop, no way. So no costumes for us. They will just have to appreciate us the way we are, old and wrinkled.

Later,
JH

What a wierd world - tomorrow is my dad's birthday as well. Sorry you can't celebrate this special day with your dad.

Also sorry we won't be there to celebrate with you. Say hi to everyone for us - we'll miss them.

Too bad you can't get some coverup for your wrinkled face. But 10 years is quite the accomplishment - congratulations!

Let's see, 10 years ago, that would make it 1998, what was I doing then? Wait, 1998, that means we're coming up on 10 years as well. I can't be that old can I? What's that I see in the mirror? A wrinkle? AAARGH!

C'mon, the theme is "legends of rock". Who needs a wig? A little judicious work with a razor and you could be Rob Halford or Phil Collins or the dude from Midnight Oil or Michael Stipe or Bob Mould or, if your want to be adventurous, Sinead O'Connor.

Or just use the free bathing cap from the hotel, whatever.
